St Mary's is about people and about God. In our openess to God and to growing spiritually we are open to all people. We see ourselves as a loving, serving, accepting and caring community.
Currently St Mary's people come from Paremata, Golden Gate, Papakowhai, Camborne, Pauatahanui and Judgeford, in addition to Whitby.
St Mary's folk are
especially welcoming of newcomers. In fact newcomers comment that they were
drawn to St Mary's because they felt very welcome.
Our special focus is on ministry to children, younger youth and their families.
However, we are in no way exclusive of others. Singles, solos, the elderly and
those who feel on the margins are welcome too.
With the other local churches of Whitby we pray that you will find the Christian community in our locality a blessing and of service.
