Management

The spiritual oversight and management of St Mary's involves many people working together in unity.

Annual General Meetings of Church Members occur each year during Feb/Mar for designated leaders to report and recommend and for the congregation to recommend, discuss and decide on matters of importance. We keep an up-to-date "electoral roll" of those who are eligible to vote on such occasions. To check if you are on this roll or to discuss about joining it please contact us.

Management Committee (Vestry)

People's Warden Audrey Moonlight with congregational member

The People's Warden and the Vestry (formerly the Management Committee) are (re)elected at the Annual General Meeting. The church wardens and priest attend vestry meetings with the elected reps. The vestry oversee the spiritual and physical welfare of St Mary's. They meet monthly (usually on the 3rd Wednesday evening) and as necessary delegate responsibilities for particular matters to individuals or small groups. Minutes are  available for inspection in the "minute book" usually located on a table in the foyer of St Mary's.

Currently the churchwardens are: Audrey Moonlight  and Ian Frater. The Bishop's Warden is appointed by the Anglican Bishop of Wellington on the recommendation of the Priest in Charge.

The 2010-11 Vestry members are: Ian Frater, Tanya Macdonald, Katy Bexley, Robin Whyman,  Audrey Moonlight, Rob Moonlight, Paul Carey and Sandy Williams (Priest in Charge).

The Treasurer  ministers on behalf of the wardens and vestry to steward St Mary's finances. The committee is updated monthly on the financial situation and reports to the people of St Mary's periodically on the state of finances.

Other formal appointments are:

Synod Representatives: Ian Frater & Dennis Minnoch

Financial Giving Recorder: Paul Carey

Small Groups Convenor & Cathedral Link Person: Robin Gunston

Overseas Missions Motivators: Katy Bexley

Administration Assistant (including property bookings): Janette Sprott

Rosters' Convenor: Paul Carey
